Thursday Questions
Food shopping - for those who have or have started due to Covid 19 , having it delivered , will you continue post Covid? I’ve never had a grocery delivery. Or simplified - will the current demand continue?
Secondly, Corn on the cob - yes or no? My view ; Edited at 07:28 AM. |

I've not been able to get a home delivery since the lockdown started; but used to do Ocado deliveries before; so yes but not because of doing it now but because I don't have a Waitrose close by and my local supermarkets don't do Quaker Oat Crisps
And yes to corn on the cob all day long assuming its not the mush that comes from KFC |

I always used to have Asda home deliveries, however I have not been able to get a delivery slot since Covid began which is fair enough as others need it more than I do. I have cancelled my delivery pass at present but hopefully will revert back to home delivery once things have calmed down a bit

Probably go back to what we did before - online order about once a month and then a weekly trip to get fresh food.
Corn - love it but not a chance with my current broken tooth! |

We have always ordered from Tesco.com since it first started (dial up modem days - fun...) We have kept going during lockdown and increased the stuff we have ordered - the cul-de-sac essentials come on our order - it will be interesting to see if that continues afterwards, or if our high risk shielding folks are brave enough to go out again after the end of June.
edited to add - sometimes we have to use Morrisons/other suppliers due to not getting slots with Tesco, but have not had too many problems lately. Corn on the cob - roasted in a hot oven with spiced/herby butter - yes. Edited at 08:01 AM. |

1) I had Morrisons deliveries for years. I have now cancelled my delivery pass because during the covid crisis the quality of the food delivered, (especially the fruit and veg) has really nose dived. Once it is settled down and the new customers are no longer having deliveries I may give them another chance. It was better when the shopping came from a central depot rather than the local store.
2) love corn on the cob especially on a barbecue. |

Not quite the exact response to the first question but we've done click & collect at Tesco for 10 years and will continue. I won't mind getting out and loading the boot myself though in due course.
Just like stuffing a mushroom, life's too short to eat corn on the cob. Mick

This has exactly mirrored our experience. Even during lockdown the delivery service via Ocado was excellent but since the beginning of May it has come from the local store and is abysmal. We have an annual delivery pass though and I am really considering cancelling it when it expires in July.
Sainsbugs have come up trumps though. They offered us since the end of April and we have found their service to be far better. I would buy their delivery pass but they have stopped offering it

Used Tesco for home delivery ever since it started. Been using it throughout lockdown, apart from the first couple of weeks. Never a problem to get a slot.
