Mobile 7 seater? Or 8? Confused

Hello.

We have just asked our niece and nephew to come with us next August. They are adult sized teens and now obviously need to look at bigger car options.

There will be 6 of us in total, and looking at the 7 seaters it says 2 cases?
Will I need a 8 seater to fit everyone’s luggage in? Or is the 7 seater big enough that you can slide cases in various spaces around the vehicle?

Also prices 😳😫. It’s looking at about £800 ( when I price up other peak times ) can anyone give me a rough idea of how much you paid late August early sept?

Thank you in advance. X

Bar a few cubic feet the 8 seater is the same cabin size as the 7 seater albeit a lot more expensive.

The favourite Dibbers pastime - play Tetris with the cases at the MCO garage.

The crux is how many cases and cabin bags in total?

Potentially 4 big cases and 6 carry on bags as a best case scenario. 6 full-size cases maybe on returnig 😂

Mmm. The carry on bags if they are rucksack type can go in the footwells so that's easy. The boot wont take all those cases but with no seats occupied by a child or baby seats you do have more options of shoving cases anywhere and everywhere alongside and on the unoccupied seat.

If it was me I would go with a 7 seater and accept that maybe 1 person has to Uber if things don't work out.

It really depends on your holiday plans.
You should be fine with the 7 seater if you are not planning to do a lot of travelling around with your luggage.
You may need to treat the trips to and from the airport differently and add the cost of an Uber or Taxi for those trips so you can fit in all the luggage for comfort or as Tom suggests will need to play a lot of tetris with the luggage.
In our experience the 8 seaters are nice but you don't get much more in them and they are usually a lot more expensive.

p.s. we find large wheeled holdalls easier to manage 'squash in' than large suitcases.

Thank you for your feedback. I’ll try and get the teenage girls to take it easy with the luggage 😂.
It’s literally airport to villa and back with the cases so Uber tip is a good one (I didn’t think of that)

Thanks again 😁

There are 7 of us going that's 5 adults and 2 children we booked a 8 seater due to the spare seat giving us more space for the cases,we booked with Andy off here and didn't realise there was a big price difference 7 and 8 seater vans.we should have checked the 7 seater price! lol

Change the booking. Andy has a great website for doing changes.
