They have arrived.

Well its Swifts around here North Northants,
Love the call and seeing then swoop.
I had new gutters in a year or two ago but fitters left a space at my request ,yes the poo and and an odd dead chick aren't pleasant but boy we both get so much enjoyment from them.
I'm guessing 6th generation this year st least.

We have a small family of birds back, dont know what they are but they have been to and fro for years, and managed to escape the magpies and crows, (neighbour takes care of those!) drives the dog mad though, last year he was still too young to be bothered by them! DD loves feeding the birds though, luckily no cats around!

We usually get a house martin nest above our bedroom window. Although we get a lot of chirping we get very little bird poo on the window sill.
I love that we get these annual visitors flying all the way from Africa to our house. Last year they had a second batch of chicks.

I absolutely love swifts! Incredible birds! You’re very lucky to have them nesting 😃

I thought it was going to be a post about the love bugs in Florida. Yes, they are back too but I guess we won't be seeing the usual horrified posts on here.

My small garden is like a scene from a Hitchcock move set -overrun with blackbirds fighting duels at dawn, swifts, wood pigeons, blue tits, sparrows and jackdaws. They use the washing line as target practice and dive bomb all over the place. Help!
