I realise people are only passing opinion on a show that they dislike but to those who enjoy watching it it does give the feeling of a kind of tv snobbery, I enjoy watching it as I like to see how relationships unfold and what makes people tick, I'm not ashamed of admitting I like watching it but I feel I should be 😂

My husband would completely agree with you but doesn't put it quite as politely as you do.
I told him it's no different to watching the study of animal behaviour narrated by David Attenborough, he strongly disagrees 😂

As you say, it is an open experiment and totally compelling.
