When in economy, these are the seats we always choose.
You get much more space down the side. |

We always go for these if we can't get economy delight ..great seats for a couple, easy to get up and stretch your legs and nobody behind you if you want to recline, last off the plane but that doesn't bother us at all.If there's turbulence, you do feel it more at the back.We have these for December.

I have paid to book these several times. I am really claustrophobic so I like having the space behind me. The biggest downside is been last off the plane but I prefer to feel better for the flight than worry about that. I once had to ask (politely) a man who was stood with his mate stretching their legs at the back of the plane not to use my seat as a back rest to lean on though!

Thank you all, I'm travelling with my young daughter so I'm conscious of being sat next to a stranger that could get annoyed if she gets restless. Being one of the last off will be a pain but then the bags could take ages to get through.
Does being at the back mean that you get served food and drink last too? As for the man using the back of a chair as a resting spot while stretching his legs - I guess common courtesy sometimes gets left at the gate? 🙄 |

Also - would you go for the very back or the first row of 2s?

We have done the very back two, and the two in front. Both were fine.
We weren’t bothered by people standing behind us to be honest. We hardly noticed. I also don’t think we were the last to get food. We were through within 30 minutes at the back of the plane last year, we had to wait longer for the bags as they couldn’t take them off in the storm!
