Sleigh Bells ring are you listening? Day 16 - SeaWorld
Last night we decided to go to SeaWorld today, I went online and bought our tickets in advance, they were $85 and I was able to get them with a free meal!
We’re up at 6.30 this morning, Rice Crispies for me and Cornflakes for Richard. We leave at 9.15, I4 is pretty busy but not too crazy. We park in the disabled bays, we are only the 3rd people to park up so we’re right near the front. We go to bag check and then Zone C to the ticket check. First stop is the Flamingoes, I love them! I love how their knees bend the wrong way! The Ray pool is next but we don’t buy any food for them. At the Dolphin pool we watch them with their trainers getting ready for their day. Shame it costs so much to go and have an experience with them nowadays. We head to the Dolphin Stadium to watch the new show, it’s good but I think I prefer the old one. From there it’s a coffee sitting in the sun. We head to the Shamu Stadium for the orca show, really enjoyed this. Next stop is the Spice Market for our free lunch. We both have an Hawaiian Chicken sandwich, was yummy. We shared with some ducks! After lunch we’re off to Pacific Point to see the sea lions and seals. Off to see the Sharks underwater now. We wander through the park enjoying the sunshine and spend some time watching the little ducks, they’re so cute! We get a message from my friend to say he’s at our house with the pool chemicals he promised us so we head home. Instructions are given and we’re good to go. We nip to Publix to grab a couple of bits we need for our tea, Chicken and Chorizo Paella! TTFN xx |

One of my favourite parks. I used to enjoy Blue Horizons so a shame they have changed it.
Sometime in the 1990's before Discovery Cove opened we did a dolphin interaction at SeaWorld where you could get into the water with them (and boy was it cold). You were given a wetsuit to wear and the interaction was similar to the one now at DC plus the obligatory photos. I must dig the pictures out of the garage! |
