5 favourite things to do in/around Death Valley ?

So , I have really appreciated the help on my other ‘ 5 favourite things’ threads

Now I have left the hardest one until last - Death Valley

We will probably have just one day - driving from pahrump to Big Pine or Bishop, but would be good to know what were your highlights if you drove through or stopped in Death Valley

Appreciate any responses

Both the above but we did an amazing drive - it was like being in our own car on a roller coaster - called the Artist’s Palette - do not miss it!

Absolutely this!
We loved Badwater Basin & Zabriskie’s Point too.
The scenery is just breathtaking all around you!

It's all amazing, but I highly recommend Zabriskie Point, Badwater Basin and Artist's Drive/Artist's Palette.
Carry food and plenty of drinking water - you can refill bottles at the Visitors' Centre but I don't remember seeing any other places to fill up - even where there are toilets there's no running water (not really surprising given the location!) so take some wipes or hand sanitizer.

We were there in April last year

There are all the usual place above which are very much worth doing.

One of the less well known sights is the near ghost town at Darwin over on the west side. Great for the photographer in the family.
