They’ve all been said already but kitchen highs:

Induction hob - I’d always had gas, I wanted gas. My brother (has his own kitchen and bathroom business) told me not to be stupid. I LOVE the induction hob and would never go back to gas.

Silestone worktop.

Gloss handleless doors - so easy to clean.

Pull out larder unit - it’s like a tardis.

Lows (from the old kitchen):

Panelled doors which were a nightmare to clean as they trapped dirt and dust.

Door handles which I somehow used to always get caught on.

Laminate worktop. Eugh.

I would definitely recommend one. We were advised not to get one that is too wide though as they are more unstable/wobbly the wider they are. Ours is 40cm and it's perfect for what we need.

I love our waste disposal (it’s an Insinkerator). We’ve had it just shy of 10 years now and I would not be without it. There were a few days we couldn’t use it recently, and that’s when we really realised how much we do actually use it. When we get a new kitchen we will be getting another one, that’s for sure.

For those who have or want a pull out larder please ensure it’s chained/strapped to the wall and not just relying on being screwed into the cupboards each side.
If they topple they will kill you!

Wanye. I checked on my trade forum. The US ones are 110 sorry.
Not worth the cost of stepping down from our voltage.

I was amazed this question was on that forum. Somebody must have had the same idea as you.

Not read the rest of the thread but the house we bought has dishwasher drawers instead of a dishwasher and we love them. Loads of capacity in each drawer and means you don't need to fill the whole dishwasher before feeling like it's ok to put it on

Kitchen lows (although not really lows as I still love it but it is what I would do differently with hindsight): gloss doors; j groove handles; not making room for an American style fridge/freezer; splashy tap.

Bathroom highs: separate bath and shower; having shower controls outside the shower; decent towel radiator that you can fit more than 2 towels on; wall mounted sink unit giving illusion of more floor space.

Bathroom lows: well it's not finished yet so I'm struggling to think of any as I am still in the honeymoon phase with it.
Why don’t you like your gloss doors or j groove handles as I’m looking at a new kitchen and that’s what I fancy?
