Photography home accessories recommendations
Hi there,
I own a Canon 600D with a couple of lens. My hubby is asking what I would like for Christmas. I was thinking of looking into the pull down black/white drop backgrounds & maybe those umbrella lights. Where would you get them. I’d like to start some portrait pics of the kids. Any other accessories I should be looking into ? Thanks a mill, Melissa |

instead of an umbrella light, what about using your existing flash and a reflector?
amazon/Portable-Ph...nguag e=en_GB or something a bit more elaborate... amazon/Umbrella-Ba...nguag e=en_GB or a nice portrait backdrop cloth... amazon/econious-Ba...nguag e=en_GB hth |

Good studio strobes (flash's) are chronically expensive unfortunatly, I'm still weeping at spending as much as I did on my Elinchrom's
If your interested in trying this but don't want to spend a fortune I'd recommend the following: 1no. amazon/Neewer-Mult... &sr=8-4&th=1 £27.49, where looking at soft boxes the bigger the box the softer the light 1no. amazon/AmazonBasic...d=1575 749429 £19.99, allows you to have 2 lights or one light and one fixed reflectors 1no. amazon/Telescopic-...49429 &sr=8-3 £19.95, reflector holder 1no. amazon/dp/B005M09B...i-a=B005M09B4E £15.99, 5 in 1 rectangular reflector 1no. amazon/Yongnuo-RF6...%2C146&sr=8-22 £34.99, wireless triggers with passthrough allows for TTL control from your camera to flash guns 1no. amazon/Neewer-Spee...AY85ESQZ27A46N £40.99, a good power but cheap E-TTL flash for Canon cameras Total for lighting is £159.40, the background linked by Wayne is a nice one and would be ok using amazon/CRAPHY-Port...3H1CJ9ECBR8A0Y to support it would be fine. Studio style photography is a black hole though for money (as is all photography) there's always a new gizmo or diffuser coming out that I nearly always want to get |
