Rise of Resistance with one day ticket
We intend paying at the gate for a one day visit in June. We have never paid at the gate before, so have a few questions...
How long in advance does the ticket office open before the park? Do you get a ticket that can be added to your MDE account? Does the ticket add straight away? Would we be able to get a boarding pass for RotR doing this? All RotR tips welcome as I am not sure how it works  Thanks.

Why not buy it online, so it’s already in your mde?
If the boarding pass thing is still going on in June then yes, as soon as you get through the gates you’ll be able to get there boarding pass. |

Just to say that the boarding groups are pot luck, there's no guarantee of getting one, everyone in the park at opening has the same shot, they still seem to be going within the first minute of park opening!
The process, of course, may have changed by June, but this is it as it stands today. |

We've only got a 2 day ticket for our next trip, but I have bought them in advance so I can book FP.
We were within the 30 day window when I bought them so no FP available for the Millennium Falcon ride (although I keep checking). We plan to arrive early and hopefully get a boarding group for RotR and then get in the Standby line for the MF. I would expect buying on the gate on the day to slow you down, so even if you buy the day before that would be a better solution.

Some answers to your questions...
I think the ticket desks open about 45 minutes before park opening. Something like that anyway. Yes, you will get a plastic ticket and can enter the ref number on it into your MDE account to link it. The ticket should add straight away. If not, ask for assistance at Guest Services or the ticket desk. You need to enter the park in order to have a chance of getting a boarding pass for RotR. And you need a ticket in order to enter the park. So getting a ticket certainly helps. But there is no guarantee you’ll get a boarding pass. You’ll have the same chance as everyone else. As already mentioned, you can buy 1 day tickets online - either from Disney’s website or from somewhere like UndercoverTourist.
