hmm a 4 hour flight is quite long for 2 nights but I've done plenty of places abroad for 2 nights e.g. DLP, Gdansk, Dublin etc.

My mum and I went to Dubai for 2 nights to surprise my brother for his 40th. Travelled overnight flight arriving really early on the Friday, so had 2 full days there and didn’t move from the hotel which was on the Palm. Flew home early Sunday morning and back to work on the Monday. Was amazing but was for a specific reason, not sure I would go that far just for a couple of nights away.

My daughter went to Orlando for 2 nights (a freebie) and I’ve been to many places in Europe for 1/2 nights and the likes of Las Vegas and newyork (and indeed Tenerife) for 3 nights.
Just make the travel part of the holiday. |

Did Berlin for 2 nights - had a great time.
Travel time wasn't much more than if we visit family in Wales and we do that a friday to Sunday. Least at the airport you can chill out, read and have a nice drink. Plus 2 days of nice weather- what's not to love. |

Have done a few 2 nighters but wouldn't do any more than a 2hr flight.

Went on my own to Vegas for 3 nights on a whim about 15 years ago. (The benefits of being single and £300 flights in school term time 😊 )
Hand luggage only, it was the only time I’ve been remotely ‘grilled’ at passport control as they couldn’t understand why I’d do it

DH works abroad a lot.
I'm not a good traveller but we are looking at me going over for a weekend to see him. |

With decent flight times & a local airport I would.
I've done 3 nights to Malta, Menorca & Paris. Just adults, would be too much hassle with kids. Saying that mine are older now & used to travel so I'd do a long weekend with them. |
