i have a question, its stated that all members need to be in the park to obtain a boarding group?

how does the app know your all present when requesting a boarding group? The reason i ask is that i control all fast-passes for my family and would need one for my children. They will be with me in the park,so its a mute point, just wondered how it knew (maybe its recognises you have used your ticket for entry?)

I think that's exactly it - it will know if you have all entered the park or not that morning.

I think if they opened a stand by queue just now we would be back to people queuing from 2am

Definitely going to be stressful, I'm hoping that by going late Aug it may be quieter? I'd also quite like to see a single rider queue too.

I'm hoping that it will all go smoothly we'll get a boarding pass, head to typhoon lagoon and then back to HS in time for when the boarding pass opens. It does add an extra layer of complexity on the whole thing though doesn't it? It's tricky to know what to do for the best. I'm sure I'll be worrying about the boarding groups at TL and be feeling like I constantly need to check my phone, so it won't be the relaxing experience it usually is.
I was thinking it would be an idea to go in a morning before Epcot. It would need a bit of luck not to clash with any fast passes booked for Epcot. I'm staying at Yacht club so I'm only a 10-15 minute walk to HS.

I've read conflicting stories about snagging a pass. Some say it opens as soon as official park time comes where as some have said they were letting folk in early and booking before official time. Don't know if it has maybe changed since then.

You are allowed in the park earlier but the boarding pass allocation did not happen until 8.00am precisely.

I wonder if they are doing something for people who do not have a phone?
