wow, I would love an offer like that, we are retired so nothing to rush home for.

I would have done it. We were offered $6,000 per person to delay our flight to Quebec by about 12 hours this year and husband said no. We were two days late already but we missed out on eighteen thousand dollars worth of flights between the three of us I was gutted!

It’s a yes from me. On the schools issue ideally get a letter from them saying something along the lines that they had to move you to a latter flight but if they won’t give you a suitably vague wording the school may just take evidence of the original booking and the changed flight so keep the boarding cards or other evidence that supports the fact that you should have been back on time

Yes definitely! We’ve done this before and received 6 free return flights anywhere with BA and overnight accommodation. Would do it again at the drop of a hat.

I would have taken it too. We had an offer years ago on the way out to Denver which we didn’t take, but on the way back I wouldn’t hesitate.

We had the same in Trinidad a few years ago, I only had to knock over 4 oap’s and tip 3 pushchairs over to get to the front of the que

Easy decision, well done.

We wouldn’t have done it too. Did it with Virgin many years ago, night in a hotel, food, exit seats and free flights to anywhere we wanted!
