2 day PCR test within 90 day recovery window

Just thinking it might be helpful to post how this pans out. Advice has always been to not test on a PCR within 90 days of recovery so wondering in light of the new return to UK requirements how many of us will show as positive from previous infection...

I am looking for clarity on this too. Our 9 year old daughter currently has COVID and by all accounts would test positive on a PCR on return to the UK.

It seems terribly unfair for anyone that has recently had COVID to go into automatic self isolation. Begs the question what would be the point in the test if it's a foregone conclusion.

I’m interested in this. We will still be in our 90 day window when we return (by about a week). Can’t see anything that says you’re exempt from the PCR test. Hopefully we won’t test positive, but it is a concern.

I will only be at 60 days but don’t go until after you, so probably no help 😀

Our return will be 28 days from our daughters positive test. Not sure whether the 90 day guide is from diagnosis or self isolation ending.

Same as 4 of us and I can’t find anything to clarify this either 😭

I believe it’s from the date of diagnosis.
