Mobile Typical! Flights

My husband priced up flights for our trip next year and it was amazing price! A thousand less than we paid this year (obviously didn’t go ahead) but virgin are only offering free insurance/ cancellation due to covid until the end on off march! We fly in July. So can’t risk booking the flights 😫

Who are the cheap flights with? If it’s BA you can add on one nights stay somewhere dirt cheap making it a package holiday and only having to pay the low deposit instead of the full amount.

I booked our flights with VA this week for July 2021.

Not sure if this helps but I was told that we cannot cancel but we are able to reschedule them twice providing we travel before Dec 2022.

Surely the prices are low exactly because people aren’t prepared to take the risk ?
Or am I missing something?

Yep that’s definitely correct. The prices will no doubt rocket when things get back to normal. Typical 😫😫

Only until increasing demand allows the airlines to put their prices back up. If this doesn’t happen they will probably cancel flights rather than fly a plane at a loss.

We’ve taken the risk as the price was so good. I’d hope that the airline will cancel / reschedule if need be.
