I've just read your trip report and it's got me really excited as I am taking my six year old daughter for a day trip to Lapland as a surprise on the 14th of December this year. How did your camera bear up? we've been advised not to take pictures outside in case the lens cracks, but I see that you took lots of photos outside.

My camera was totally fine, I took photos and put it back in my pocket each time, I read about not taking a camera as well, it would steam up a bit, when you went from a cold place to a hot place, but that was all!
You will love it, it is such a magical place to go and really gets you in the Christmas spirit. I am sure your 6 year will be memorised!

 Went here with my DS with Wish Upon A star.We had a brilliant day it was absolutly beautiful.Shame he wasn't really well enough to enjoy it .There were quite a few celebrities on the plane so it made it quite special.My favorite was the frozen lake with all the lights and the reindeer sledge with Father Christmas.
