we are due to go 16th Aug - if there is no quarantine on arrival and no tests before we go / come home needed and the plan is going then we will be going but I am not sure that will be the case... however before Christmas I was about 80/20 on the chances of us going vs not going, and now I am more on 50/50

I'm getting a bit fed up of all the negativity around holidays so think I need to step away for a bit! We're booked for 8th August and I'm not going to be cancelling anytime soon. 6 months is a long time in Covid terms. We've vaccinated 7 million people already in the UK and the US is up to 23 million. We will get there!
Let's see where we are in April - I think we will have a much better indication of where things are going by then. |

Not just you. We moved everything from last August to August 2021. We have taken the view this week that we won't be going, and have secured a UK holiday for 2 weeks in the summer whilst there is still some availability.
I am not prepared to sit on a plane with other people until the numbers are negligible. I am also not prepared to wear a mask on my holiday in the heat (no guarantees this won't still be required in August). I am not even letting myself think about the possibility that quarantine will still be an issue, or be an issue again for another round... who knows?!
