If you have to go 2020 feb might be the best time compared to the rest of the year.

We went February this year. It was really busy, we couldn't get on anything, we literally only got three rides in each of AK and HS (except for a special paid for event that we attended). I would never go again in February after this experience, having said that, I do not go school holiday time so I am comparing to other non school holiday periods.

I like Star Wars but I am hoping it won't open before or during my September trip!

Star Wars is a bigger franchise than Harry Potter with even harder core fans and, from what I’m imagining, Galaxy’s edge will be on WWOHP levels of immersiveness.

There will be hoards people who don’t care for Disney one jot that will be coming just to see it.

Thanks for the replies everyone... I guess I am completely oblivious to the 'fandom' that exists out there lol! I've never really paid much attention to the films.

Now I would have thought Harry Potter a bigger franchise than Star Wars.

We just got back home yesterday.
This was the busiest I've EVER seen the Disney parks, having visited in February, March, May, June, July, August, September and October previously
We went in February 2009 and it was very quiet then.
Disney are pumping a lot of money into updating the parks.
Pandora, Toy Story Land, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train all opened recently with Tron, Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy rides/lands all opening in the next few years.
I love Disney but the crowds this time have me seriously contemplating not going again

It could go one way or the other, I am happy that I love both Star Wars and Harry Potter.

What I don’t get, if Galaxy’s Edge is going to be so popular, why is Star Tours always so quiet?
