Brits guide

Just looking at the Alamo brits terms and conditions and it says you have to show your copy of the guide when you collect the car to be eligible for the deal. Has anyone had to do this when collecting the car? We have already done skip the counter.

This comes up on the dibb all the time no one has ever been asked to show a copy in my experience. We’ve used the code a few times ourselves with no issues.

Basically it's a 10% discount code that's all. However it does give a 2nd driver which some codes such as the Dibb one only give 1 driver.

Nobody has ever been asked for the book and I doubt they ever will.

I've always used Alamo Brits but haven't been since 2014. Then it cost me £250 to rent a full size for 2 weeks and now under the Alamo Brits code they want £580!

For the first time ever I won't be using the Alamo Brits link - Virgin Holidays are £490 for the same deal (and you don't have to have booked your holiday with them either).

We've been three times and I've never had to show the book. It's such a good book though I always have one on me when I get there!

Spot on. Virgin standalone hire can be very good on price. I find some years I get all my rentals through them. Some years none.

It's all about hunting out the best supplier price wise which does take time. Time that can be financially beneficial

Used Alamo Brits last week, as I had done the "straight to garage" I showed my print out to the guy at the entrance, told to pick a car.

Thanks to the DIBB for the Alamo standard = full size tip, told to pick from Full Size line, got a Nissan Altima.

Drove to exit, showed the wife's and my driving licence and my credit card, no question of showing the guide, I was asked about fuel option, declined, left the garage.

Very easy, quick and painless.
