I think you should find a brand new pre-registered, or even unregistered Evoque available for less than a used vehicle. Land Rover seem to have plenty to shift.

We've had two XC40, both petrol 1.5 T3 R DESIGN 5dr Geartronic on loan.

Our present Volvos are diesels so the first thing we noticed is the engine is really quiet. It is also surprisingly powerful for a supposed 163bhp. The other thing that struck us is it feels pretty cheap inside compared to older Volvos. I've sat in the Momentum version which is better. Wouldn't buy one it's too expensive for what it is, and Volvo servicing cost a fortune now - actually more than the Germans. Not helped by the independent Volvo service specialists upping their pricing to just undercut the main dealers.

Try one you might love it.

I've always liked the look of them. We went and sat in one and neither of us liked it then.

I had an Evoque a couple of years ago before I changed to an electric car, it was fine for me and I enjoyed the car. The only downside for me was it drank diesel like a drunk and the "go" from standing still, at busy roundabouts, was soooo slow due to kickdown.

How about an EV like Hyundai Ioniq?
You do short daily journeys of 60 miles a day, the car has just under 200 miles of range on a full charge. If you can fit a home wall charger, plug it in when you get home and full battery in morning.

Starts around £33,000 - uses less power in stop / start traffic on M25, nippy have a read, less maintenance etc. etc. Now if it fits the 6 footer kids, you will have to see

Not so sure I would bring it up if you do longer trips needing a recharge as the non-Tesla charging infrastructure is not there yet.

I had an Evoque back when they were first released, from new.

I adored it, only got rid because we moved to a new house and planned to down grade ours cars in the process...

I loved everything about it, nice size, nippy etc I love cars but just feel that my priorities have shifted over the past few years and given I now work from home can’t justify the cost for it to mostly sit on the drive other than for school runs...

But yes, I loved it

My wife has an Evoque (new model) and absolutely loves it. I found a lease deal via a broker online and the local dealer matched it. (in fact they beat it!)

£365 per month (3 months down) for a metallic 150HP diesel S, 15k miles per year.

I don't think the infotainment system is a patch on BMW but I believe it's just been completely upgraded.

£365 per month for something you will never, ever own, and can only use for 15000 miles per year?

You can finance a much better car, for a lot less money, that you will ultimately own.

I know lots of successful people in the motor trade. They all love selling lease vehicles.

Not one of them has ever leased one themselves.

Hi some people don’t want a £32000 bill, as we all know the day you take a new car out of the show room you loose 20/30% so for many leasing is a far better option.
A better car ? 100 people a hundred ideas
People in the motor trade, everybody in there own industry gets better deals
People spend 2/3/4/500 on a suit , I wouldn’t because I’m in the trade and get cost or close to cost, or from another brand get good price from associates

I had an Evoque as a company car a few years ago. I lasted 8 weeks with it and in that time it was in the garage 5 times. I insisted they take it back and give me something else as the unreliability was making me crazy. I actually really liked the car other than that but it's not large on the inside and the petrol tank was small. Had the car been more reliable I would have kept it as I DID like it but I needed something I could trust.

I’ve had my Evoque for 5 years, and due to change shortly (also going electric) - I’ve been more than happy with it, and I’ve not had any reliability issues. Would agree with the comment about the economy though, does get through a bit of diesel. The other thing it drinks a lot of is the Ad Blue fluid.
