Cfb's thread made me think about cover versions that I think are good. Not necessarily better than the original.

One of my favourites is Kate Bush's version of Rocketman. I love Elton John's original too.

I also like the Futureheads version of Hounds of Love. Kate Bush's is brilliant.

Hurt by Johnny cash better than the 9 inch nails original.

Tainted love by Soft Cell, better than the Gloria Jones original?
