Is insect repellent a must? I so, any suggestions to decent brands from Walmart?

Hi it's down to each person and how they get affected, some don't need it and others get eaten to bits when it's hot and sweaty . Walmart have several brands with deit . Or as a lot of people will do is go to the sports section that have more specialised sprays.

Really is luck, I have been coming many years and probably three times been bitten ( I swell up to the point I couldn't bend my fingers ) but we're here at the moment and touch wood haven't been bitten once

I agree about looking down the “camping and fishing” aisles in Walmart for strong repellent with a high DEET content.

Personally I can’t remember being bitten by mozzies. I know years ago I walked on some of that really coarse tough grass and narrowly avoided a load of large ants. I now avoid grass.

Another time I was bitten on the plane and spent the first couple of days feeling unwell with a hot sore throbbing big toe. Now I wear socks on the plane.

I always air on the side of caution as I too react badly to mozzie bites. I’ve always taken Avon Skin so Soft (the green bottle) and have never been munched👍
