Yeah I read this before posting and figured it was discussing the parks rather than the hotels.

Can’t believe the little black kitten was meowing outside my door though... bless it!

I spot them at SSR quite often.

They seem happy enough and must do a good job ref the rodents etc.

As an aside there is a family of Bob Cats that live very near the boundary between OKW and SSR. They are fast!

I seen a cat at POFQ this time.

I also saw a snake sunning itself on the path when going to fill my mug. I promptly walked a different way, I alerted a member of staff who said he'd contact pest control

Not everyone knows that. I'm in WDW now and didn't know until I read your post.

I don’t have an issue with feral cats on WDW property as long as the company provides them with the correct healthcare and spay/ neuter them. Feral cats can be great for vermin control but they don’t bond with people, they can get used to one or two care providers and respond to commands if trained to so they can be checked over and looked after without disrupting them too much. We’v seen them in a few locations but they were trained and avoided contact with guests and returned to dedicates areas on command from an animal handler. Not sure if that still applies though.

I thought Disney trap and neuter their feral cats? I would be concerned if I saw a litter of kittens, many people who choose to dump unwanted animals instead of taking them to a shelter will choose a busy place and assume a member of a public will step in. I’m not sure how easy it would be to dump a litter of kittens (and mum?) at a resort, though. Best thing to do would be to alert the staff.

As long as they have some sort of Trap, Neuter, Release policy that includes a health check to keep numbers in check 😄

I hope my wife doesn't see this as she will spend the whole holiday looking for feral kittens to feed!
