I'm not even sure the two situations are comparable. One is a very well organised operation where she will have a network around her to help her out either with younger kids or the homesickness/loneliness...the other appears to be a situation where she has been dropped into a big hole without any help whatsoever.

And ... breathe... all sorted. Isabella from Camp America/ phone calls to Thomas Cook / Condor and maybe even a hasty tweet have resulted in Katie joining the plane with the rest of her group. They must have held it to sort out the mess as there was also a group of 5 ladies who also weren't allocated seats, any way, off on a Delta direct flight leaving shortly. Thanks for all the support guys, I needed it .
