EMH at HS then off to AK
Hi, we have FPs booked for the afternoon/evening at AK including FOP. As we are now on a rolling 60 days FP booking and are a large group of 11 I’m wondering if it would be worth going to HS to do the Toy Storyland rides on the same day to take advantage of EMHs as we only have 2 days onsite. I’m definitely not cancelling our 1 and only FP for FOP. We have other days planned at HS and have FPs for TSM, but no Slinky Dog so far!

Morning EMH are always worth it, but remember to still get there early, preferably 45m - 1hr. We would nearly always park hop to another park around lunch time (or go do something else) from an EMH

We also do EMH and then park hop and have plans to do so again. A great way to take advantage of the EMH but avoid later crowds at that park due to it having the EMH that day!

It depends on how keen you are.
If you want to be at the very front of the crowd waiting for EMH to start and have a short wait at your first attraction (which is usually a popular one) then, yes, get there about 45 - 60 minutes before EMH starts. If you don't mind being in the middle of the crowd and don't mind a bit of a wait at your first ride (or a short wait if it's not a popular ride) then you can turn up about 10 minutes before EMH. I suppose it depends on how popular Toy Story Land turns out to be.

EMH at Hollywood Studios starts at 7am on 5th August, just can’t see us getting there for 6am-6.15am. But Stop Press! We got FPs for all 11 of us today 60 days out for 14th August, time a little later than I’d hoped for (9.20pm) but I’m not complaining. Had to split the group up into 2s and 3s but got there in the end!
