Reason we went for this... splash pad for both boys (6 and 1). Itinerary fit better for med cruise (will save Disney/fjords for a time when they both will walk more).

A lot to explore on the ship. Some good port calls which none of us have done before (except Barcelona).

Wide selection of foods--- Serrentos Pizza, hot dog place, windjammer buffet, Mexican... plus the standard and specialty dining.

Plus for same price as DCL we have a 1 bed Grand suite, concierge, access to the Coastal Kitchen (probably suit us better than main dining room) and other benefits! Oh and this price also includes our prepaid gratuities!

We will likely do DCL in 2024 as part of my 40th trip to Orlando!

Anyone been on Symphony of the Seas? We are on deck 8 so Central Park area...
We have just booked this cruise for next August. Can’t wait to do something completely different.

We did the same itinerary in May 19 on the Oasis (2 adults, 3 children , absolutely loved it.

Stayed 2 nights in Barcelona - did tour of nou camp.

Stayed on the ship for Palma & Provence.

Train to Pisa - only half day but worth seeing the tower

Train to Rome - didn’t really enjoy Rome. Did the Hoho bus around the major sites, it was really crowded and felt worried about missing the train back so clock watching a bit, maybe a paid excursion would have been better.

Naples - the rest of the family stayed on the ship, I took the tour bus that is literally parked outside the cruise terminal around the city.

I’m sure you will have a brilliant time, food is really nice and so much to do on the ship you could stay on it for the whole week and never be bored (think the kids would rather have done this)

Enjoy 👍

Just checked and our itinerary is the same! Think we will stay onboard for Naples and Rome as done both several times but the port for Pisa/Florence is La Spezia where as we have done Livorno so we fancy going to Cinque terre. Palma and Provence are new to us.
