American Airlines code share flights

Might be a really daft question, but we’ve never flown with American before. We’re flying with them to Miami in august after BA cancelled our BA metal flight. Do we check in at the AA desks or BA?! The flight is down as leaving LHR T5, I’ve only ever flown BA from T5, so will there even be AA desks there? Feel so out of the loop with it being so long since we last left this island 😂😂

You check in with the operating carrier, so the AA desks. AA does have desks in T5, zone C for all cabins except First, which uses zone J where AA has a few desks in the BA First Wing check in.

You check in with the airline that operates the aircraft that you are to fly in.

We are also now flying out with AA after our flight to Miami was changed. Might this mean that we avoid some of the BA Heathrow strike action at check in?
