thank you I am looking at 10 days California and 5 days Vegas as back-up as well now for November, only £150 deposit but not really sure whether Cali is worth the risk as they had a lot harsher shutdowns and restrictions than Florida when cases were bad

Update

So that didn’t last long and plans have already changed

After hearing that flights are cancelled upto 6th September and no real noise coming from America, I’m in the process of moving the September booking over to October. So we will have the same hotels and flights but the baseball dream is over for this year.

But……. I have also booked an early November back-up

British Airways- flying from Manchester to Las Vegas (via Heathrow) and home from Los Angeles.

5 nights at the Palazzio tower in the Venetian

9 nights at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Anaheim

Plans- California-visit Disneyland 5 day pass

Knotts Berry Farm

Universal Hollywood

Try and see the Griffiths Observatory and the other Hollywood tourist spots

Vegas- not really thought yet beyond exploring the hotels and casinos

But there are a great choice of concerts during these dates- we would ideally love to see them all budget depending

Lionel Ritchie

Gwen Stefani

Old Dominion

I am in a massive dilemma because I actually think our hearts are a little bit more into this idea than the other plan now. It would mean Brett would be in Avengers Campus on his birthday. We could tick another two places off the bucket list. We are doing Disney World for Bretts 40th next year so could live without Orlando this year. I love the Patriots but I had my heart set on finally seeing the Red Sox at Fenway so I think I would be ok waiting for Boston for another couple of years. We would be saving a good chunk of money compared to our other plan so we could put this towards activities. It is really frustrating though because I want to book the concert tickets before they creep up but obviously we cant get them until the last minute as we might not be allowed to go. I want to book the rows of 2 on the plane but that would be £244 down the pan if we didn’t go. I don’t really know whether California is a bigger risk than Florida as I know they are more cautious over there plus November is winter so this may all start up again.

So many unknowns and I am not very good at patience

Ooohhhh I love this plan! This trip would be awesome and would mean you could do Orlando in 2022 and it would be all ‘new’ again. Love the concert choices too, Old Dominion would be my favourite but Lionel and Gwen are brilliant performers. Would the Christmas theming be up at Disneyland when you go because that would be extra special. Back up plans are essential!

I think so, from what I have read the xmas decs go up from beginning of Nov, so we would see DL this year and WDW next year neither of us are really bothered about xmas too much we were only doing it next year because Bretts 40th falls over that period but I’m sure Disney xmas will be magical enough to do it twice Old Dominion is the number one choice if we couldn’t get tickets for all 3- I don’t know much about them but Brett loves them! would love to see Lionel and Gwen too so fingers crossed, hate not being able to plan!
