And it’s location is easy to get to and from, between the Hilton and Sheraton and across from monorail station

I would like to but unfortunately work and other commitments mean I don't have spare time/capacity to learn it at the moment!

That being said, I learned to read hiragana and katakana (at least the pronunciations) years ago... And always get a bit amazed when I understand things because of all the English loanwords in katakana! Like chocolate (cho-ko-re-to), cheese (chi-zu), cheddar (che-da). Or even Disneyland (dei-zu-ni-ran-do)! I can also read Chinese which means I can understand or at least guess at the meaning of a lot of the Japanese kanji characters as they are very similar, though some of the usage is really different. Like 熱湯 in Japanese means "boiling water" but in Chinese means "hot soup"! This actually made me a bit confused when I bought some Japanese tea recently as the instructions were to add 熱湯 to the tea...

Spoken Japanese completely eludes me though, at best I understand a few phrases here and there but nowhere near enough to understand TV shows and Youtube videos! And this is what I would really like to learn! Though sometimes I will be watching something in Japanese and suddenly hear a random word I recognise because of the English loanwords they use...
