Animal Kingdom - Jumbo House or Kidani Village

We've always found that a standard DVC room 5th floor in Jambo has given us some kind of view of the animals, where as at Kidani we had a view to the front, which was still nice, but not as wow. We love Jambo and will always opt for there if possible as the atmosphere, lobby etc are as our tastes go far superior.

TBH it was so much easier back then. I own at AKV and for years always got the value rooms I wanted, these days as other posters have said, they generally need to be walked at 11+ months and often that’s so hard that days instead need to be picked up here and there, hoping that you can get a run of days together.

For OP, I would def budget for a standard - if going for a standard then I’d def go for Jambo (I prefer Jambo anyway as prefer their pool, love the main lobby and the counter service option).

At Jambo with a standard view you have a good chance of a nice pool view, at Kidani the standard views are generally not as good.

I’d probably book Jambo personally- at least I would if booking again. The advantage of Kidani for us was the 2 bathrooms in the 1 bed. Another advantage is the hospitality house. Other than that it was all disadvantage. Lobby not as nice. Pool I didn’t like, worst pool we have had at DVC with a major bee problem. I had read about this before we went and thought it was over exaggeration, and maybe seasonal but when we were there (summer) it was awful with bees swarming all over. My wife got stung and they even have to have an air curtain on the drinks machine as they are all over that as well. Jambo pool much better. And quick serve is at Jambo as well, although limited menu at pool bar at Kidani.
