I immediately told my son he has to cut down showers as he is always having one, and everyone to turn everything off and not leave lights on etc.

I have a fixed price gas contract until April 2023 and Electric until Summer 2024.

However I’m already parachuting money every month in to a savings account so I can hit the ground running.

Ah YT I have one of those Turn shower on, go back to room, mess about for 20 mins, then actually have the shower- the whole time every electronic in his room is on pause!

Not only have we spent the last couple of months unplugging everything the moment we stop using it, my husband is now trying to buy devices to reduce the water flow from the shower! Unfortunately for him I notice every time, and that's one thing I can't compromise one. :-) (He's forgotten what trying to wash hair is like!)

That's quite impressive! We did have fixed rates, until our supplier went bust.

I wouldn’t say that the article is wrong, just that it doesn’t really say anything new! It states that borrowing restrictions aren’t ending yet, which they haven’t. It also states that being allowed to go over is at their discretion. That has been the case for months. On another forum I have heard of many cases where people have been allowed to go slightly over because they called and asked. Unfortunately, other people who called have been refused.

It’s just one of those articles that implies it’s saying something to get hits. At some point the restrictions will end or people will be officially allowed more, and at that point they can claim they said it first!
