Back to back in Southampton

Hi all,

I’m debating whether to book another Disney cruise from Southampton so that we are doing a back to back.

Has anyone done a back to back in Southampton? I know some ports are better at it than others and I just wondered whether you had to spend much time off of the ship?

Also, we’ve only done one back to back before where we kept the same stateroom, but this time DH fancies a verandah for our first one (I’ve booked a magic porthole for the second cruise and really want to try it!).

I’ve read reports that you can leave your luggage in your room and the stateroom host just moves it to your new room - I’m not too worried that I have to pack up, but would be good if they just move it for us. Would we still get in to our room early if we move rooms though? (I remember last time we were able to go back to our room before everyone else boarded last time).

Many thanks for any info 👍

I think unless you are staying in the same cabin you probably wont be able to get in your cabin early - although i understand that they should transfer your bags for you.

i would LOVE to be onboard when its changeover day!

We did B2B on the Magic last year in Southampton. Was brilliantly done. We packed up most items into cases but they moved everything on hangers for us from wardrobe to wardrobe and moved the cases for us too. We loved having the "empty" ship for a couple of hours and made the most of the pool. We didn't have to leave the ship at all as they moved us all to one of the bars for testing etc... I think we did get in to our new room early as well... We definitely would do B2B again - Disney made it as easy as possible for us
