Was thinking about this. The idea of these units is they're more "hotel-like" than the usual studios. I really don't think they needed the microwaves personally.

Seems they needed to communicate the type of room it is more clearly (i.e. you won't have a microwave).

Spoils the intended look a bit I think. The regular rooms don't have them. Probably just me.

I'm not a fan of these pod type machines, which I 'think' these are, to be fair I've never tried coffee from a Keurig, only pod machines over here, but much prefer a bean to cup so my coffee's actually coming from freshly ground beans. We've got used to drinking filter coffee out there and like having a jug of it at our disposal.

Maybe I need to try coffee from a Keurig, I'm assuming they're the same as our pod machines, they may be much nicer.

I think it was a "Mr Coffee" we had in our 1 bed at CCV a few weeks ago. I don't mind the filter ones at all, but there were no decaf packs. Caffeine gives me the jitters but I did try a tiny bit of the 50th blend. We could have asked for some but were hitting the parks.

At OKW 1 bed, luckily we had 2 packs of decaf 50th and the same machine. At least in the 1st room before we moved after some very unwelcome "guests" 😱

Yet to try the Keurig properly, but I think RR has them, and there in August. Will have to make my verdict then 😁

Just watched a Vlog on these, They (Tim Tracker) kept going on about how they were less points that the other DVC building, so originally I'm thinking that might explain the lack of microwave... well until you look at the charts & they are the exact same points plus the TP category that has basically the most expensive Studios on property! 1 week in Sept season 174!

I just watched that Tim Tracker youtube video, misinformation on there, he said that the new Resort studios were smaller than the Deluxe studios thus costing less points..both statements are in orrect, the new resort studios are actually larger than the original Delixe studios and are exactly the same amount of points! He also said there wasnt much Mary Poppins theming completely mossing the large chandalier with the glass blown birds.😀

Ian TBH I liked the brightness of the rooms & the theming, something our HR of SSR might learn from but we are never staying at 140 points for a week that's nearly double the same week at SSR (73) so even with spare points it's not an option

The points charts are ridiculous at GFV and RR even though the rooms look lovely, we just bought 200 points direct at VGF2 to get the blue card for new resort access and for the convenience of being able to book straight away! We have managed to cobble together our first 2 week DVC trip this September and will be staying in a standard studio for 4 nights then onto a 1 bed at SSR for 5 nights then a 1 bed BW vIew at BWV for 3 nights at the end (with a 3 night Royal Pacific stay at Universal for HHN) never stayed at more than 1 place before so will be an experience 😀 you can get Savannah view at Kidani for 98 points a week. compared to the 143 at GFV which is a bit of a joke tbh! We bought looking to add on resale next year but I must say it was amazing getting to book straight away after having 2 x SSR resales ROF’D over 5 months!
