Can you leave a 11 year old at the child swap?
So for example, my 11 year old is very streetwise and really sensible. She is a bit afraid of some rides 🙈 But if we were to all go to the start of the ride as a family, would she be allowed to wait in the child swap area? Or is this just with a adult.
Thanks 😊

I doubt you’d be able to leave an 11 year old unattended. Disney wouldn’t/couldn’t take responsibility for it surely?

Or Universal for that matter. Child swap areas are in Universal.
Disney the 11 year old would have to wait outside of the attraction. OP sorry but I do not know the answer.

Pretty sure it would be with an adult. 14 is the minimum age of entry in to the park without adult supervision.

At Universal, we rode Velocicoaster and had a 10 year old who didn't want to ride. We were intending doing the "child swap" thing and he told us he'd be fine if we went on and left him in the child swap room. He had his phone as was more than happy to wait for us.

We have left that age in child swap before when our youngest wasn’t tall enough - he was fine.

TBH it's going to be a personal choice but I'd say legally you are leaving a minor unattended but I suppose if I was going to "leave" a child anywhere to wait it would be there. Not something we done but I'm not judging.

Getting Excited
|
We never had any issues with one my kids (11 at the time too) going to the child swap / parent switch area themselves.
As a family we've queued for rides only for them to decide at the last minute they didn't want to go on - staff more than happy on each occasion to take them to the swap area or indeed to the ride exit to wait on us (usually they have waited with them as well) |
