I know Tom dumps in his car before it being collected on the morning of flight, but that is not always an option. And in any case, what about the toiletries where you would then need double (one in check in and other for overnight).

Just curious.
Hi
I make sure I have some toothpaste, anti perspirant, beauty bits moisturiser/ shampoo etc that's on the point of running out ,use it & leave the containers at the hotel
Same with knickers & socks - wear an old pair & put them in the bin
Will wear the same pair of trousers to travel to the overnight hotel & plane and take a different top to travel in.
Will have the clear plastic bag for lip salve , hand sanitizer etc in hand luggage

The walk from Premier Inn is 2 minutes.
It doesn’t bother me having some pants and socks in my hand luggage suitcase. With 3 kids, it means a lot of preparing, and I’m not dumping everyone’s pants and socks, but yesterday’s dirty clothes become spares in case of drinks accidents or sickness. We’ve all showered and washed hair, and DH has had a shave, so the only important stuff is deodorant and toothpaste.

We always go the same;

Park car in long stay, get the shuttle to the PI at North, chill for a bit.
Twilight check in before or after dinner.
Walk to departures in the morning, couldn’t be simpler.
And it’s cheaper to add one extra nights parking than a night at PI parking, but most importantly no worrying about parking the car in the morning, very chilled.

So pleased to be reading this as I’ve booked PI for my next Virgin flight & have a question.
How long before flight do I need to go to airport?
Virgin website says 2 hours! Does it need to be that long?

In my opinion it depends what you mean by getting to the airport for example if you are driving and parking up in long term then easily 2 hours in my opinion. It also depends if you have done online checkin (OLCI) as that should make for a speedier route through.

If you are driving (depends where from of course) then you may need to allow more time if you are having to take into account rush hour traffic.

Just my opinions")

Sorry I wasn’t very clear!
We will be dropped off the night before, do twilight check in & then stay at PI
Only security & breakfast on day of flight!

I bet the PI Housekeeping staff know when a Dibber has stayed in a room as the bin has tatty old boxers/knickers in it and nearly empty deodorant cans and toothpaste tubes.

They probably have a daily competition who can find the most.

All they will find in my bin is an empty bottle of Sauvignon Blanc

Similar with us Tom. But usually pink wine, not white :-)

If you want to do breakfast outside I would allow 90 minutes from leaving the PI to be safe
