50mm wooden venetian blinds in a large window- hard to open?

I'm thinking of replacing net curtains at the front of the house with 50mm wooden venetian blinds. One window is quite large 93" x 54" (237cm x 137cm) Would a blind this big be too heavy to lift up and down? Also I'd love to see photo's of wooden blinds on large windows if you've got any.

Thanks

Mine is 90 x 90 and I think these are the type you mean? They do feel a little heavy when lifting them up, but no problems - I’ve cleaned my windows twice since having them and they are fine to raise. I love them! Room looks a bit dark on these photos but I can assure you that light isn’t a problem, our room is really light

I was able to get a quote online so I must be just within the maximum limits

That's great - thanks, I'd be going for white so would look even brighter

You can definitely get them if you search for extra wide wooden blinds.

Don’t rule out faux wood. We got that for our bathroom as it was a moisture resistant version. It looks the same as our main wooden blinds but is so much lighter when lifting it up.

You can always get samples too.

We have them at our front windows which are big.
They look lovely and certainly don’t darken the room.
They are heavy, I can manage them on my own but my wife needs help.

Have you looked at Dunelm and B&Q. We've had them from both and both were equally good. Also a lot cheaper than bespoke, if you can get your size. They can also be trimmed to size.

We have alot of these wooden blinds with 50mm slats, they look great.
We use Blinds 2 Go for ours and I fit them myself, very easy to fit. Our widest blind is about 170cm wide and that isnt heavy to lift, yours might be a little heavy but manageable.
Just looked on Blinds 2 Go and you can get the size you are looking for. We have the Soho wooden blinds with classic tapes.
