It’s essential that you get set up with support where you are now, DH has ulcerative colitis and had his usual follow ups this year, by telephone appointment.
UC can progress to Crohns if not managed and this is much more serious, so please don’t think you are bothering anyone and get in touch with your new surgery ASAP.

Definitely yes! Since Dec 1st I’ve been to the GP twice plus at least 3 phone appointments. Rushed to hospital at 1am one morning with suspected Pulmonary Embolism ( it wasn’t thankfully). I’ve had 3 weeks of horrendous pain, been jaundiced, 5 days in hospital, CT scan, MRI then home for Christmas. Since then I’ve had a gallstone removed from my bile duct, colonoscopy and 2 polyps removed and I’m now going in Saturday (using my private healthcare this time) to have my gallbladder removed. I think that’s all! Never been ill in my life! Service from GP, paramedics and hospital staff has been outstanding and I wouldn’t be going private Saturday if my paperwork didn’t say things like ‘urgent’ and ‘chronic’! If you need the Dr’s definitely go!

Oh dear you have been in the wars Selina, hope your op on Saturday is the last thing wrong and you start to feel more like yourself after it,
Best wishes from us both

Thank you both, it’s been a rough few weeks but hopefully this is the end of it now! I guess at least I’m not stressing about getting back to work quickly and Florida had already been cancelled obviously!

Hope you're better soon. OP definitely speak to your doctors.

I have a phone appointment tomorrow 🙂

I will say that I'm not poorly, I'm in remission. But I just need to be on the books, just in case 🙂

You absolutely do need to be on their books, that way all your notes will be on hand if you should need treatment (hopefully not but better safe than sorry) my drs have been nothing short of amazing.
