Scottish and Northern Irish notes are issued by a number of different banks with permission from HM Treasury to issue banknotes - I think there are nine different banks across Scotland and Northern Ireland authorised to issue banknotes.

I love how the hand held credit card devices became known as PDQs. In my day it was an expression to expedite a cheque clearance - Pretty damn quick!

Actually there are no notes that are legal tender in Scotland, this includes all Scottish notes as well as Northern Irish amd all English notes. Emglish notes are the only legal tender notes in England and Wales. Scottish and NI notes are not legal tender anywhere in the UK.
