I like the Joules packaway macs - easy to fold and good in a downpour with a hood that stays up.

But yes, it's like wearing a sauna!

The OP is going around three weeks after us, so quite similar weather.
For the past few years we haven’t taken ponchos or rain gear . We just get wet! It can be nice and cooling on a long hot afternoon.
But what we do have is a change of clothes and the usual beach towels back at the car, so we can have totally dry clothes if we are eating out on the way back to the villa.

I need to be able to keep an ECV dry so will have a look at ponchos on Amazon - think it will be cheaper than $20 for a Disney poncho every time it rains!

I bought mine from tiger. Not used it yet but my mum uses one when we were in Pompeii last year. Didn’t get too warm but we will see. I’ve used disposable ones in the past but I’m trying to use less single use plastic and they were also rubbish.

Yes they are single use plastic and as a wi member I do try to reduce my use but as I have had them for a few years now I will use them but not replace them with similar

I’m in the same boat using an ECV, so will check out some of the suggestions for me, and then let the rest of the fam get wet 😉
