I've used it on my two visits (last year and the year before). Both times I stayed at POFQ and I had no problems. This year I'm doing a split stay - POFQ and the Polynesian - so I'm getting the ME from the airport to POFQ then at the end of my holiday from the Polynesian to the airport. I love it, to me it's when the holiday begins. Last year the driver made a big announcement just before we went under the big arch, everyone was so excited

I think it is also that they have much shorter visits and often want to get to the parks straight away.

Americans do not have to have their luggage transferred. You can omit the tags, pick it up and carry it your self.
My one experience with MDE was the one trip I did not get a car. The big complaint I had was our driver was very slow. But it was a short, cheap trip and MDE was free. If you don't want to get a car, it is a very good option. I have used other shared experiences from other airports and DME was better than most shared rides. I took supershuttle once to my son's. The driver went all over Houston (actually passed my son's street) before I was dropped off. It took an hour and a half more than it should have. But that's what you get on a shared experience-everyone can't be first and you may have to wait for it to leave. |

Have used it around 10 times, different times of year and never had a complaint. Queue has never taken long, comfortable motor coach and efficient delivery time to our hotel, all wrapped in a Disney design for good measure 🙂

I have never used it but DH has once. I am put off by the thought of long queues, long waits, long journey (going around resorts) and then finally long check in queue as arriving at the same time as a coach load of others. Not for me. We get a taxi.
Although I have never used it, I have never missed the signage, it couldn’t be any clearer where you need to go. |

We have normally arrived in Sanford and the drive after a 9 hour flight was always draining. Last time arrived in mco and used magic express. What a difference, we where flying upper on virgin so I polished of a whole bottle of wine and chilled knowing I didn’t have to drive when we got there. We arranged to pick up a hire car the next day at the Disney car care centre, being picked up early. You are to arrange that 24 hours before travel but that is when you are normally traveling but the concierge done that for us when we checked in. This time we are not hiring a car with the parking charges and hire charges it will be cheaper for us to use uber.

I haven't experienced any of what you describe in my visits. For example last year from the plane landing to the ME arriving at POFQ took an hour and a half. When you consider this includes going through immigration it was pretty good. I was the only one who got off at POFQ and there was no one else in the lobby checking in so I was in my room 5 minutes later.

We have used it a few times and happy to use again this time. Make sure you have booked it in advance as last trip they refused to take my son (who arrived a day later than us). I had booked him in and spoke to our hotel (OKW) who sorted it but if I hadn’t done that they wouldn’t have taken him as they said he wasn’t booked in.

I know people who've got the ME without booking it because they had a hotel reservation. They just showed their reservation details to the person on the ME desk and they were allowed on it. Did your son have that info on him?

We like using it - would rather save the money than spend on a taxi and don’t like to get the hire car at the airport. Sometimes you do have a wait before it leaves - 10mins but that never worries us - usually too busy people watching! I have never had lots of stops (if they do they put the hotels together in the same area ie I was at ASMu on it stops at ASS first. I would def use it - starts our Disney Bubble off early!
