I joined in 2005. I think it would have been in advance of when myself, my mum and sister visited Orlando in June of that year though it was a fairly last minute booking and I don't recall planning very much! That didn't happen til my next trip with my ex in 2007 and again in 2009. We split up in 2010 and I had a long break with no Orlando trips, but I logged on at various times over the years in the hope that i'd get back there one day with my partner and our 3 kids. Sadly our 2020 trip won't be happening but we're determined to go next year, and hopefully it won't be another 12 (!) years til the next time I find it quite comforting that the forums are still so active here when others i've been on for years have slowed to a crawl or moved over to Facebook.

l was around from pretty much the start as l was a member on the US site that closed the dedicated UK board and out of that the first incarnation of this site was started

from 1997 until 2007 we were going to Florida/California pretty much every year sometimes twice a year and then we had a a few years off then went back 2009 and 2011 but even though we haven't been to orlando for a long time l still try and pop in to see what is going on but find it hard to contribute to the trip planning because my years of experience are all out of date now

2009 for me- I came across the Dibb by accident!
Gained loads in tips and hints and I’m not sure we would have returned so many times if i didn’t come on here so much.
I can remember reading when Jakey passed away and being in tears in the car.
I do agree with others about the general friendliness declining a bit and sometimes I feel as though it’s a bit of a popularity contest for some which has put me off somewhat recent months.
I would have loved to have gone on a dibb meet up but never quite found the courage.
