What was the first record you ever bought?

Pretty sure the first single I ever received was A View to a Kill, and for some reason I think my Dad bought it for me, which seems very random to me. (I was a huge Duran Duran fan, so that’s not random, just random my Dad bought it!)

First single I bought for myself was Madonna’s Live to Tell.

First record I asked my mum to buy me was Heart of Glass by Blondie when I was 6. I was obsessed with it and still am! With my own money I bought two at the same time - Love Action by The Human League & Tainted Love by Soft Cell.

First LP -Alice Cooper -"SCHOOLS OUT" (I still have it and the LP sleeve is in the shape of a school desk!

First LP I bought was "JOSHUA TREE"-U2

AND I still have them all, plus a few others going back to 1968/9 (anyone remember Jim Reeves?)

I bought DH a simple record player for his birthday a few years ago as we had a few albums in a plastic crate in the garage.
All working fine.
We now have a stereo (bought for his birthday this year) and three boxes of albums.
Love sitting listening to them on a Sunday morning. ☺

I can remember buying my first (it might even have been my only) album which was Human League Dare when I was about 15.

I have never been much of a music fan. Not sure why I find it irritating !
