What’s a good Christmas card game ?

Just wondering can anybody recomend a good Christmas card game ?
Has to be a card game as mil can’t sit unless on the couch so easier if it’s cards.

We did try cards against humanity last year , surfice to say , we were all killings ourselves , and trying not to explain in to much detail what some of the words meant

I've been playing Sushi Go online with my mates but you can get a physical card version, it's pretty simple to pick up and good fun once everyone starts shouting "SUSHI GO"

Indian Poker - Everyone draws a card without looking at it. Sticks it to their forehead. You then all bet on whether you have the highest card. Great entertainment

Thanks, has to be a game where mil can sit on the couch as she has mobility problems and it’s easier

Articulate is a board game, but we often play it at Christmas when we are flopped on the sofa with enormous bellies! In our case, the younges (and fittest) one moves the counters round for us and we just pass the question pack round. One person gives clues to the rest of their team to the word on the card in a given category and you score points for every one your team guesses. Simple game; all ages can play; don’t need to see the board particularly and doesn’t interfere with digesting huge lunch!

Chase the ace is what we play in my family every Christmas... very simple and you can play even after you have had a few...

... we play with 3 x 20ps each... loser of each round pays in 20p... when you have paid in all your 20ps you drop out!

... winner is the one who still has money left... and wins the pot of 20ps

Just found the above link that gives the basics of how to play - dead easy!
