I’ve never really liked this area. I know it was themed to be a pop up carnival but it felt like a pop up carnival iykwim 😀 just jarred with the rest of the Dino land area.

We also seemed to be in a queue forever for this ride. Kids loved it, but sorry, I won’t miss it.

It’s right on the edge of the park, could something bigger be going up?

I really hope they just don’t use it as a character area. Even though it was not great in the carnival themed area it was the signature attraction and should have had more life in it. It will take three years to get something relevant and new in but I have a feeling we are heading back to post 9/11 times when it was all about cutting back and Disney are too far in with Guardians and Tron in their other parks plus have the new Star Wars area but feel Pandora is strong enough to pull Animal Kingdom through the difficult months ahead.

Yes, totally agree!

It was probably our favourite ride at AK. Well, maybe the safari “ride” was the best, but this came second. It made us laugh every time. I never really found it that jarring and the seats were nicely padded.

Sad to see it go.

And, like some others have said, I hope they put another attraction in its place and not just a character meet or something. Although, given that Disney hasn’t announced anything, even if they did decide to put something else there it would be at least 3+ years until the replacement attraction appeared.

Made me feel sick so only went on it once. Think dinosaur is bit dated and that area definitely needs something else soon. Sad when any coaster goes..

I'm sad to read it's gone as DS was really looking forward to riding it on our next visit (he was too young last time). He loves watching it on YouTube - I guess that's the closest he's ever going to get now

Spinball whizzer at Alton Towers is similar but not quite the Disney experience

In my view, Spinball Whizzer is quite a bit more thrilling than Primeval Whirl was.

Primeval Whirl was more like a Wild Mouse type ride with a bit of spinning (in the dozens of times we went on it it never really spun that much).
