Decided to switch to Christmas

We’ve decided to switch our July vacation to Christmas/New Year and have booked CBR for two weeks. It’s always been a dream to go at this time, and as I will be 50 between Christmas and new year we thought it would be perfect to celebrate my 50th the same time as WDW are celebrating there’s! We’ve been multiple times so I’m not worried about crowds but would like to know what are your favourite things to do over this period eg dining on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, parks on what days etc...

Don’t mind answering at all. Our July booking was direct with Disney and was £4300 including park tickets CBR for four adults and for two weeks. Changing to 19th Dec like for like is an extra £1900, a lot I know but we’ve had an unexpected 2 years to save and it will be (as people say) a once in a lifetime experience 😊

Thinking of moving our July trip (4th move) to June 2021. I had debated about Christmas but then I saw an offer for Seattle, SF & Vegas going late November & it was too good a deal to miss. It’ll be our 25th wedding anniversary this year & this trip is for that. If I move Florida we’ll take a trip to Italy in July with our teens & then we’ll all go to Florida June 2021 & hope things will be “normalish” by then!

Where are you planning to spend the day?

OP Christmas is magical but extraordinarily busy in normal times. We like to focus on booking a few key rides in advance and then enjoy the atmosphere / shows / parades / decorations (some of the disney hotels really go to town!)

We like the Candelight Processional (if it’s on) and the various Xmas touches everywhere

Nye is amazing in Epcot.

We just booked yesterday for Christmas as well. First time at this time if the year so pretty excited. It was my 50th in dec there so will be great to be there on my 51st.
We got an absolute bargain with BA that was too good to pass up.
Will take the whole year to decide where we want to go on Christmas Day 😊 , but we have said we are looking forward to taking this trip a bit easier and just relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.
