We’ve been having mario party evenings on switch.
Watching films together. She comes with me to get the shopping but waits in the car - she just wants a change of scenery! We have done zoom quizzes with the family weekly, online panic rooms. She keeps in touch with friends on Snapchat etc.

Thanks for all the ideas! I think they’re finding it hard as, being twins they’re best friends but then also being twins, that closeness maybe stops them being as social with other children? So now they’re missing seeing other people but don’t really have the people to ring or text etc and the good friend that they have doesn’t have a phone and they’ve not been in touch with each other. They’ve never been social media kids either and don’t have anything other than tiktok.
I like the ideas of an instrument and maybe YouTubing lessons. A school locally has a lot of international students and have said they’re going to put a mandarin language lesson on this week so that sounds good. They’ve got a switch so I may find some other games that people have suggested. They’ve got animal crossing so I’ll have a look and see if they can link up with anyone on that to play with. |

They’re 15, in year ten. I’ve been making them come away from the computer at break times as they were carrying on with the work they’d been set and so I’m making sure they get a break. They have about 35 mins for lunch so by the time they eat there’s not much time to do much else, but they’d be able to get a quick walk round the block in.
