"Better Off A Camel", "Air Fungus" - Do you know any more?

Hello all!

I have a super-weird question for you today. My DS (10) just read a book about aircraft disasters - and he was really taken with the funny nicknames for the various airlines...

SO...BOAC was (apparently) Better Off A Camel - and Aer Lingus is Air Fungus. DS is desperate to learn more of these - but I don't know any more!

I do remember many years ago - one of my (American) Indian friends saying that FORD stood for Found On Reservation Dump

Thanks in advance...

Friends who work at Gatwick call it Squeezy Jet.

Yes, my sister was cabin crew for Dan Dare! She hated and lasted for year.

We overstretched ourselves on an American/Canadian holiday a year before we got married. So we had a week in Jersey for our honeymoon.

Dan Dare airlines from Cardiff. Only plane I have ever been on that had outside toilets!

Those who have flown with Flybe will know why they're also referred to as Fly Maybe!

In the Caribbean there is a small airline called LIAT (Leeward Island Air Transport) it flies up and down the Leeward and Windward island chain.

It is notoriously bad at timekeeping and the local people call it Leave Island Any Time
