Is it better to wait for free dining?

I want to go in October 2021 and the prices are up on the Disney site. Should I wait for free dining or just go for it now. The price is pretty good for my chosen hotel now and they didn't offer free dining in October last year.
Thanks

Until Disney make an announcement (if they make an announcement) no one knows what's going to happen. So that is a decision only you can make.

They did offer some money off though so I would wait.

I always think if you’re happy with a price you should go for it! :-) which hotel are you thinking?

I am waiting for a (hopeful) announcement... we also want to book autumn 2021 but aren’t fussed on dates particularly so will be driven by prices. If free dining isn’t offered we might rent DVC instead.

Oct 2021 will be the 50th anniversary of WDW, so if you are happy with the price I’d book it now. It’s only going to get more expensive or sell out.

I really want Coronado Springs, Club Level Tower and I think they do sell out quite quickly so maybe I should just go for it.

I’d go for it without dining as you’ll get continental breakfast and snacks anyway. I’d pay out of pocket for the rest of my dining.

‘Free Dining’ isn’t really - it usually comes at the expense of higher average room rates. Whether it’s worth it depends on how many of you are in the room and how much you value the dining plan.

We are 2a 1c and we have always struggled to get through all the snack and quick serve credits - typically bringing home half a suitcase full of sweets etc.

We’ve not done club level at a Disney resort but have at Hard Rock in Universal. I think if we did, we would not bother with DDP and just book the character and table service/signature restaurants we really wanted and pay out of pocket.
