Mobile Dorset/ Devon trip.

We are planning a trip to the south coast. Paignton Weymouth durdle door and possibly Poole..

Only been to Weymouth but as a child.

I want to see Lulworth Cove and durdle door and go fossil hunting. Hence a brief night there.

We will have about 10 days evenly split working from Paignton to Poole.

So must dos in that area. Likely to be mid Sept.

Thanks

Not sure if you are on Instagram but if you are follow CoastalCabins - 5ee5ccd17a8aa7320b55cc47

They are in Hartland and the owner shares some beautiful hidden gems of the Devon Coast which look absolutely amazing. They are on the north coast though so not sure how feasible that is for you.

We were in Dorset last September. We stayed in a pub in Bridport. It had been years since we last went and mainly spent time revisiting old haunts. The weather was awful. Really awful. We struggled to find dry places to visit so in the end we just got wet - a lot! We enjoy West Bay and Lime Regis and the amazing views of Chesil Beach from the road to Abbotsbury. If you do visit Abbotsbury, try and check out the tickets on line as they were a bit cheaper.

One of the most haunting places I've ever visited is Tyneham. It was a village evacuated in 1943 for the army to practice the D-Day landings and it's residents were never allowed to return. visit-dorset/things-...illage-p136333

We've just come back from a 4 day trip to Paignton. Really enjoyed it. We did the steam train from Paignton to Dartmouth (well, actually a station beginning with K that I can't remember, but it's a 5 minute hop across the river by ferry from there to Dartmouth), and we then did the hour long harbour boat tour. Highly recommend.

Both Paignton and Torquay are very close to each other and certainly the seafront and harbour areas are very pretty and well kept.

We also played crazy golf along the front which was good fun!

I'm not too mobile, so we just pottered about really, but it was a lovely area, and good for gluten free food which I need!

Kimmeridge Bay is just beautiful. Agree about Tyneham - such an atmospheric place.

Yikes. We go on a Friday, deciding if to drive early doors or stop somewhere on the way down.
