August 2021 - Has anyone else booked yet?
We needed something to look forward to after a shocker of a year and so we have confirmed a trip to Florida in August.
A week onsite at OKW followed by 2 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel and then a week down on the beautiful beaches of Naples. Fingers crossed for some kind of normality by then. Vaccines should be rolled out and with any luck things might be getting back to normal. Has anyone else booked? How confident are you? What are your August plans? |

We have flights booked for a 3-week stay late July into August.
I've not thought about booking any other components since I booked them, and I'll continue to hold off for a fair while, as we'd like to do a 10-14 night on-site at WDW, as we usually do, but I want to know the parks will be at something approaching what we are used to. I don't see there's any real rush - we've travelled before booking a few days in advance - there's always cars available to hire, hotels to sleep in and houses-with-pools available to rent. |

I was aiming for August, but now Feb 22. I just don't see US travel resuming properly without vaccination. Unless you're in the vulnerable group, there is only mere speculation that everyone else could begin to get it late summer 21 with things slowly easing as infection rates drop.
For me personally that's too close and I don't want to have to cancel a 4th time for being too keen again. Caution and pessimism is my new year's resolution 😂 |

I booked up last night, two weeks mid august with BA. Hotel needs sorting as both me and the BA rep were having a nightmare last night trying to book. However flights are confirmed £550 from Newcastle via Heathrow. I didn’t want to miss those prices

Was originally booked for August 2020 rescheduled to August 2021. Staying at CBR already had universal tickets bought and paid for so fingers crossed it goes ahead.
I think the travel industry will completely crumble if things don't start getting back to normal next summer. I don't think they will make vaccination manitory for travel until it is widely available. Hopefully with the most vulnerable vaccinated by late spring death and hospitalisation rates will have dropped significantly by summer. Holding off booking things like universal hotel night and kennedy space centre till nearer the time though. |

I am 90% confident with the vaccine. Book a BA flight and you can move it to April 2022 anyway.
A stay at OKW, Hard Rock and Naples sounds like the perfect holiday!

No not booked and unlikely to book until park restrictions are removed. Not paying £2k for my family to walk around Disney wearing masks - we can barely manage walking round Sainsbury’s😀
